 Italian Brainrot, also known as AI Italian Animals, is a viral internet meme trend that emerged on TikTok in early 2025. The trend features AI-generated images of animals combined with various objects or anthropomorphic features, often accompanied by a male Italian voice delivering rhymed, absurdist monologues.


The exact origin of the phenomenon is unclear. However, it began to gain traction in January 2025, when TikTok user @eZburger401 uploaded a video titled "Trallalero Trallalà". The video featured an AI-generated image of a shark wearing Nike sneakers, accompanied by a male Italian text-to-speech (TTS) voice reciting a nonsensical nursery rhyme.
